Fishing Report December 10

Good Morning from beautiful Key West! Conditions have unfortunately deteriorated for the weekend as winds have increased and seas have come up to 6-9 feet, but before the wind stared to blow we were seeing a nice variety of fish.

The blackfin tuna in the 10-20 lbs range were present in decent numbers in the very early morning then again in the late afternoon. School size kingfish have been showing on the outside reef along with cero and Spanish mackerel and have been striking both live baits and trolled lures. The wrecks have been continuing to hold amberjacks of all sizes along with mutton snappers and a few cobia. Sailfish have been rounding out the variety with strikes coming on live herring flat lines or fished under the kite.

Weather conditions will be improving by late Sunday and the fishing should only be getting better. Give us a call at (305) 304-2849 to book your fishing charter aboard “Booya”, we’re looking forward to hearing from you!

tight lines,

Captain Lee D Kerbel
